Did I dare my soul to share?

My naked heart, you stripped me bare.

Yet in my life I plunged ahead,

With no known fear to bring me dread.

Your precious face is everywhere.

Outside your arms, oh sweet despair.

I could drown within your eyes,

For all I love within them lies.

And once my love I showed no care

For my own heart was yours to share.

No wrong before me could you do,

With sweet, soft whispers, I love you.

Should I drown in my own tears

I could not love you less nor fear,

For what would come we could not know.

No matter love, I love you so.
